Ordering an SSL Certificate

What is SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard security technology that allows sensitive information to be securely transmitted. It is a security protocol that determines the encryption for both the link and the data being transmitted.

All browsers have the capability to interact with secured web servers using the SSL protocol; however, the browser and the server need an SSL Certificate to establish a secure connection.

Ordering an SSL Certificate

  1. Go to (see Screen 1).

  2. Complete all the fields on the form. For Domain Name, enter the full domain name (including sub-domain, if needed) you want secured by the certificate. Click the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button (see Screen 2).

    NOTE: Your certificate will only be authenticated for the specific domain entered. For example, if you enter ‘’ and later try to use the certificate with ‘’ or ‘’, any visitors to those sites will get an error message about your certificate.

  3. Log into your Tagadab account if you’re an existing customer or enter your details if this is your first purchase. Click the ‘Login’ or ‘Create Account’ link as appropriate to enter your payment details (see Screen 3).

  4. If you are a new customer, select 'Register new' under 'Payment Method' and click the ‘Pay & Order’ button. If you are an existing customer and would like to use a card already registered, select the card under 'Payment Method' and click ‘Pay & Order' (see screen 4).

  5. If you need to register a new card, enter your card details and click the ‘Yes, I confirm my payment’ button (see screen 5).

If your payment was successful, you will now be able to view the invoice for this transaction and see the status of your SSL certificate in your customer control panel. Check your ‘Approver E-mail Address’ for your confirmation e-mail.
