Well I'm Martin, I live in Cambridge, England, and this is me on the
Amazon in 2007. I did a frankly weird Ph.D. looking at the relationship
between models from ecology, immunology and socioeconomics, and
currently I'm a soon-to-be-unemployed post-doc working on ecological
modeling.
I started this blog as a way to channel by ranting about the state of the public debate on science into something more useful and productive. I have big plans for this site, to one day take it beyond just blogging, so stay tuned.

Well, I accidentally let slip that I'm really paid by L'Oreal Suncream to promote the great global warming hoax in an effort to boost sales of their product.
Nah, actually it's because the original intro I wrote in February was so lame and crappy that I was embarassed and deleted it. I keep meaning to update it some day.
